Kelly has made a remarkable difference in the life of our son. We are forever thankful for her support and expertise. The level and depth of service she provided was beyond what was available at the schools he attended.
Due to his learning profile, our son's school struggles continued to build. He was increasingly unhappy. His confidence was severely compromised. We approached Kelly for help. She met with him multiple times to review his testing and learning profile. She helped him to identify his many strengths and understand his areas of challenge. He was able to reflect on his difficulties and identify his wants and needs. She helped him understand how he learned best and what he could do to find his way. He began to see that he had many options and the support to choose for himself. As he began to actively engage with his future, his confidence grew. His happiness remains and his confidence continues to blossom.

I have known Kelly for many years as a fellow educator and parent, and have the utmost faith in her knowledge of the field of educational services, her integrity, and her empathic skills. I found her advice about my own child’s needs as a gifted learner extremely helpful. Not only did she have years of experience in the field to draw from, but she also had other more specialized contacts to recommend if I needed them. I recommend Kelly with absolute confidence to anyone with concerns or questions about their child’s educational needs.

Even though it was years ago when our boys were at Storytime, we remember with such fondness and happiness arriving at pick up and seeing a parade of kids marching out of the woods, grinning, after having spent the afternoon in the mud forest, visiting the cookie tree, searching for frogs or suiting up for winter olympics after a great snow fall. Our children still reminisce about these excursions and play!
As an educator, Kelly helped to foster lasting friendships for our boys in her home preschool and provided these indelible experiences that helped to form the foundation for their inner lives. She has continued to be a resource over time, and as a result of knowing our children well, has been able to give us practical and thoughtful advice about their education.

Kelly Story saved my child’s life. Kelly’s careful attention and astute listening skills allowed my child to open up and share with Kelly what he really wanted out of life and what he felt was in his way. I remained a quiet observer watching her perform magic using respect and kindness to elicit a vulnerability I had not seen in my teenager in years. In meeting with Kelly my child reconnected with his true self and gained enough courage to make a change in his high school choice. Now, as a senior, he is the happiest I have seen him. He was hesitant to change schools afraid it would affect his college opportunities; however, seeing the positive results, I only wish we had met with Kelly sooner! He has been admitted to every college he applied to and has been awarded multiple scholarships. One of the greatest gifts of working with Kelly is she asks the right questions and hears the most authentic response to best guide your child’s educational experience and success.

After years of struggling with the school system to get service for my child, Kelly was able to read his testing and see that they were not testing for the right things. He is now on an IEP plan tailored to my child's learning differences, with a scientifically proven approach.
With her help I was able to ask the right questions and advocate for my child to get action from the school system which I would never have been able to do on my own.
She was also great when it came time to explaining the learning difference to my child as not a disability but a condition that can be addressed with proper intervention.
After years of feeling hopeless and watching other children learn to read and write effortlessly, my child is now able to understand that he is as bright as they are, and more importantly he’s now on a plan to catch up to his peers.
