From right brain learners who care deeply about social justice to a child with dyslexia who is intellectually gifted. At Story Educational Consulting we are adept at understanding each piece of your child's story from interests, passions, and temperament, to how your unique child learns. Kelly is adept at deciphering psycho-educational testing and student histories.  

Find enrichment programs

Sometimes a one-day nature program is all your child needs to make public school work better. Other times a local boarding school with an opportunity to take a class at UVM is the key to success. Kelly has years of  experience understanding how  enrichment opportunities can change a child's life.

Make professional referrals

Twenty-five plus years of experience working with hundreds of local professionals gives Story Educational Consulting the knowledge necessary to make good professional referrals. We refer to professionals such as an educational lawyer, therapist, tutor, psycho-educational tester, or therapeutic educational consultant. We know what type of professional is needed for your child's situation and who will work best with your child and family.

Support special needs

Sometimes a student has a learning disability, ADHD, or struggles with social skills. Other times young people have hit a bump in the road due to a traumatic experience.

We can help you navigate your  special-needs questions and help you to find the right educational resources for your child's needs.

There are many ways to help a child feel better at their current public or private school. Sometimes a child doesn't qualify for special education services, but needs the support of a good tutor or mentor.

consulting to package plans when
families decide they need more. 

PACKAGE  PLANS

​We offer plans that include a comprehensive package of services:  initial evaluations; educational action plans; professional referrals. All plans are designed specifically for your child's situation.   

Sometimes you just need to talk to a trusted professional who has experience in the field to get some quick feedback or a professional referral. Other times it is helpful to meet with a consultant for an hour to sort out a specific educational decision or review psycho-educational testing to better understand your child's needs. Many families need a full package of services beginning with an analysis of a student profile in order to make a good educational action plan. That may include a list of suggested schools and programs, targeted supports, enrichments to hook a child deeper into their learning environment, and/or a referral for a professional evaluation.
